GCSE Examination Entry
Excel Tutors provides private candidate examination entry for GCSE examinations for all 4 exam boards (AQA, Edexcel/Pearson, OCR and WJEC). These examinations are available to students who are home-educated, distance-learning, and mature students that are living in the UK.
It is not required for Private GCSE candidates to enrol or to attend any classes with us in order to sit their exams at our centre in London.
Private (external) GCSE candidates are not required to enrol or to attend any classes or tutorials with us to sit their examinations at our centre.

IGCSE Examination Entry
All other GCSE subjects require some form of endorsement, coursework, or practical assessment to be completed. Due to this reason,the majority of all private candidates opt instead to sit the IGCSE (the International GCSE that is deemed the equivalent of the GCSE qualification across the world) as this qualification is based entirely on examinations. For this reason, the IGCSE examinations have becomeincreasingly popular and have been adopted by many private and state schools in the UK.

There are two ways to ensure the registration for your place to take an exam at this centre:

You can visit us at our centre, along with your Passport/Driving license (for ID check) and one passport sized photograph.
We recommend candidates to come into the centre, so that in case of any enquiries, the exam officer can help you and complete your exam registration straightaway.

Where is your examination centre based?
How do I register for examinations?
There are two ways to ensure the registration for your place to take an exam at this centre. Either you can apply online and upload your documents to verify your identity or you can come in person at our centre with required documents and our exam office will help you to register.
What time do exams start?
All morning examinations start at 9.30 AM and afternoon examinations start at 1.00 PM.
How do I pay for my examinations?
You can pay for your examinations by debit / credit card, cheque, PayPal, cash (if registering in person) or bank transfer.
When will I receive my examination dates?
You will receive a Statement of Entry (that includes all your examination dates), as well as the exam letter in the months prior to your first examination. Usually, these documents are provided to candidates taking examinations in November by late-September, in January by late-November and in May/June by late-March.
