GCSE English & Mathematics Exam Entry

Over 100 students sit GCSE English and Mathematics at our centre in London each year, making it our most popular qualification. Students are able to sit the GCSE Maths exams in both the May/June examination series (open to candidates of all ages) and in the November examination series (restricted to candidates aged 16 and above or candidates under 16 that are retaking the examinations).

GCSE Mathematics for AQA, Edexcel, and OCR require candidates to sit three 90-minute examination papers (one non-calculator and two calculator papers). GCSE Maths for WJEC Eduqas requires candidates to take two 135-minute examination papers (one non-calculator and one calculator paper).

GCSE Maths is now graded on a scale of 1 to 9. Candidates can choose to take the Higher tier examination (possible grades being 4 to 9) or the Foundation tier examination (possible grades being 1 to 5).
